Makeup

Makeup artistry is an integral part of our esthetics curriculum. During the 600 hour esthetics training students learn the fundamentals of makeup application, advanced theory, and fantasy makeup.

Those who desire a Masters Degree equivalent in makeup may continue their training in CIDESCO. In this program students study camouflage makeup, color matching, wedding and bridal makeup, B&W photography makeup, seasonal palette theory, and several additional advanced makeup techniques.

The esthetics educators at Cinta Aveda Institute are CIDESCO diplomats who are seasoned in makeup artistry and trained in the latest makeup techniques.

As part of the Creative Team, students have the opportunity to develop a diverse makeup portfolio by actively participating in professional photo shoots, avant-garde fashion shows, and exciting events in and around the Bay Area.

We are privileged to welcome several guest speakers throughout the year who share their skills and provide students a glimpse of a realistic professional experience.
